Stick to Your Writing Schedule

“Humans are creatures of habit,” as the saying goes. And being as such, we humans must also implement habit into the daily grind of writing. Whether you are a hobbyist or professional, each type of writer should establish a routine and cling to it faithfully as if her life depended on it.
It is common for some, however, to fall prey to the hustle and bustle of the outside world. It happens all the time. With social media, marketing, and life in general, it is easy for writers to become overwhelmed and less productive than usual. That is why it is essential to establish self-discipline. Regardless if you write 10 minutes a day or 10 hours, give it your all and maintain your strength of mind. Setting daily writing goals and reaching those goals will be very rewarding.
Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the process. Establishing a writing schedule will be the easiest task you will ever fulfill if you truly love to write and create. For instance, the characters that I create and the world in which I place them, pull me back to my writing station each day. I am wide-eyed with anticipation, waiting to see what happens in my next unwritten adventure. For me, it is the ultimate rush.
Starting a daily writing routine and sticking to it will not only increase your productivity, but it will also create a powerful sense of achievement within yourself. And to any writer, that is the greatest motivation of all.
